Proposed Working Mechanism of FOXO4-DRI

In research settings, FOXO4-DRI has been studied for its potential to disrupt the interaction between FOXO4 and p53 in senescent cells. Disruption of this interaction has been associated with changes in p53 localization and activation of apoptosis-related signaling pathways in preclinical models.

Preclinical studies have reported that this mechanism may preferentially induce apoptosis in senescent cells under controlled experimental conditions.

This mechanism is studied in experimental research to investigate protein–protein interactions and p53-mediated signaling. It is also studied to investigate mechanisms of senescent cell clearance in experimental models.
